NIGHT WHISPERER (6) looks close to a win following back-to-back placings, last time beaten 6m into third at Bendigo in this same grade. Draws a couple of spots wider but is proven at this circuit and distance so could strike. DESERT ASSASSIN (8) is another that has hoof on the till having featured in the top three in the last two outings. Beaten only 1.5m when runner-up here two back and was close-up again last time at Cranbourne. Draws for a nice trail. Big chance. NOBLE COUNT (4) was brave last start when he raced parked but dug deep to miss by just a nose at Ballarat. Draws a couple of spots closer to the pegs so could go one better. RILEYS PEGASUS (11) has been let down by manners in both outings since a fresh win but is capable when on his game. A good draw brings MY HIGH PEAK (3) into calculations.
