FORBES SHIRE COUNCIL DIGGERS CUP 2470m

Track: FAST   Clear (Max: 26)

SWEET ON LEXY (2) is a three-time winner at black-type level who tackled a Group Two contest last time out and finished 13 metres from Jacks Ultimate Fury in sixth over 1730m at Bathurst. The one to beat from an ideal draw. SAINT EMILION (10) finished fifth at Menangle two runs ago before a comparable effort at his latest appearance over 1730m at Bathurst, beaten 10 metres. May just need a bit of luck at some point from this difficult draw. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is capable of taking this out. BETTOR KEPPEL (7) disappointed last time when ninth over 1609m at Menangle. Can turn things around. PAS DE CHEVAL (9) cane race well fresh.

Capable of better than we have seen lately. Last start was driven from back in the field when 9th (Fr6) over 1609m at Menangle, beaten 10 m by Seve (1:53.00) in 4-020yo+ 0W/20K Stakes on April 12 at $10. Better than recent form suggests; great chance to bounce back.
