REPUBLICAN PARTY (1) recorded his best result since returning from Australia when he came from a wider barrier and finished runner-up to race rival We Walk By Faith in the Taylor Mile here last start. Has won an Invercargill Cup over this longer distance and should get his chance from the inside draw. CHASE A DREAM (6) has roared back into peak form in his last two outings, coming from this barrier to beat topliner Merlin and win the Waikato Flying Mile two back before chasing Aussie champ Leap To Fame as runner-up in The Race. A repeat of those performances would see him hard to stop. DON'T STOP DREAMING (10) faded after working last start but had won three of his previous four so it may pay to give him another chance. RAKERO ROCKET (3) did a good job to place from the back row in the Taylor Mile last start. Draws nicely and deserves respect. MO'UNGA (9) hasn't had a lot go to plan of late but with some luck from his back row draw he can be dangerous.
