No notable leader engaged and the pace is likely to be muddling early on. SMOKIN MATCH (4) was runner-up here last week in his first start from the powerful stable of Mark Currie and meets a field that lacks any real depth here. He is likely to race close to the pace and gets Justin Huxtable in the saddle for the first time. That combination should be hard to hold out this time. OUTTA BEAUTY (2) has been off his game in his last couple of starts and is being tried over a mile for the first time. He has been placed twice on this track in the past and is worth including in all multiples. LADY BOSSA NOVA (9) kept on whacking away for fourth here a fortnight ago and has shown some ability at times. This field is not strong and she is capable of a top 3 finish with the right run. CRIMSON ECHO (6) caught the eye with a late burst to finish fifth at Warwick 8 days ago. She did not have all favours that day and the extra 125m could make all the difference this time.
