Expecting a strong tempo with Left Hook, Tel Aviv and Sexy Warrior going forward ahead of Elvis and Savethebesttillast.
A race of many chances. WESTERN LEGEND (4) returned from a 170-day spell in outstanding fashion at Stawell last start, letting down impressively to score by nearly four lengths over 1300m. Has never shown anything near that performance level in five previous runs. Trust it wasn't a fluke. SEXY WARRIOR (8) led all the way for a huge maiden win at this track and trip two back. Tackled a similar race here last time out and just battled away in behind the placegetters under 60.5kgs. Can improve today with the claim for Olivia East. BLACKLIP (1) led and defied all challengers when resuming over 1300m at Wodonga recently, opening his account at start eight. Giving weight to all his rivals but can go on with the job. LEFT HOOK (7) is back from a 171-day spell. Progressed nicely through the last campaign. Two recent jump-outs should have him forward enough to run well. MOONBOLT (3) hasn't been all that far away in two runs this prep and will enjoy this slightly longer trip. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Western Legend each-way.
