Moderate tempo with Excellent Reward leading the way and a few others keeping in touch.
SHE'S ASTUNNERARCH (11) wasn't the best away on debut last start over 1462m at this track but worked into the race impressively to get up for third, beaten just 1.1 lengths. Scratched from a slightly shorter race at Bendigo on Friday to be kept for this. Sure to prove difficult to hold out. DEMPSEY (2) registered his first minor placing at start seven when close up in a similar race here 17 days ago. Needs a bit of luck from a wide alley but the signs last time were positive. FIERCE FIASCO (3) returned from a 29-week spell for new trainer Andrew Noblet and did a good job to finish fourth over 1462m here. Sure to appreciate the extra ground which brings him right into calculations. IT MATTERS (8) improves each time she steps out. Charged home late to get up for second at her latest appearance over the mile at Wangaratta. One of the better hopes. JUST CURIOUS (9) might find this a bit easier than her last couple and can work her way into the frame. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen to be with She's Astunnerarch.
