MALLEABLE (2) battled away late when finishing sixth over 1600m at Matamata last start, and he is reaching his peak fitness third up from a spell. Michael McNab sticks with him, and so do we. On top. BEAU MILLER (1) took a step forward second-up when fifth over 1600m at Matamata in the same race as the top pick, improving on his sound fresh effort at Arawa Park. Each way claims here. GALWAY LASS (9) struggled at Cambridge on the poly track there most recently when well held over 2000m. Her form to open this prep was encouraging, and with a return to a turf surface, she can make amends. Don't drop her yet. THE MAILMAN (5) placed at Avondale two starts back before failing to feature at Pukekohe over a mile last time out as the favourite. He is better than that, and he is worth another chance at some value, so follow your money. KAY'S RUEBE (7) was doing her best work late at Hawera over 1400m second up 15 days ago when sent out as the favourite. Stick with her for all top 4 combos.
