FLORESCENCE (15) was well fancied on debut at Matamata over 1200m but could only finish sixth after racing greenly throughout the running. Natural improvement is expected, and she has enough scope to measure up here, so stick with her. ANNIE BLING (10) was disappointing at Hastings last time out when well beaten over 1400m, but she was not the only one to struggle in a track that was far too heavy considering no rain had fallen in the region for a week.
