Former Victorian TOREADOR (8) is unlucky to still be a maiden finishing runner-up at the three starts before the spell and strikes a very winnable contest here. Should be going very close to breaking the maiden status here. VERSION (11) has been thereabouts in all three runs since joining the new stable and will be at peak fitness for this. Rates a serious contender. BRING ME SAKI (1) returned in good order with a placing at Ballina and will be better for that hit-out. Top-three credentials. TWILIGHT STEPS (4) will be rock-hard fit for this, draws low and gets 3kg weight relief with the claim. Ticks a few boxes. VICTORY MELODY (5) is usually around the money and looks a must for the exotics players. SUGGESTED PLAY: Toreador to break through.
