Strong tempo, primarily from Top Bird and Cool Fizz.
In-form mare MAKE IT SO (6) made it two wins on the trot when she comfortably accounted for a BM58 mares' line-up over this distance at the Sunshine Coast last start. Kept fresh since that run five weeks ago which seems to be a preferred pattern now. Hard to stop again. NORTH OF ELI (2) will appreciate a drop in grade this afternoon following a couple of respectable efforts in town, last time being beaten under two lengths in a BM70 over 1200m at Doomben. Enjoys a soft run from gate one and will be tough to hold out. KRAKARIB (3) has been a bit plain of late, albeit in better races than this. Won a Group 3 as a younger horse so if he puts it together he can beat this lot. THE WOLF (4) raced on the speed but couldn't finish it off against BM82 opposition over 1175m at Grafton last start. Serious contender in this much easier assignment. COOL FIZZ (7) has a 67% top three strike rate at this distance so she cannot be ruled out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Make It So to bring up the hat trick.
