CHICO CASINO (4) started favourite and did a fair job to finish fourth in a Class 1 over this distance at Bathurst two runs back. Unsuited over 1200m last time but back to this journey he looks tough to beat. RELEASE THE SPIRIT (3) led all the way to collect his maiden win over today's trip at Wellington last Monday. Starting to find consistency and another big run will not surprise on the quick turnaround. REDNECK RUM (1) has performed better at his last two, most recently beaten 3.6 lengths over 1100m at Wellington five days ago. Unproven at seven furlongs but he is very fit and the quick back-up is a positive sign. JADE DIVISION (5) attacked the line strongly to get up for a close third over 1200m in a BM58 at Dubbo last start. Yet to place in three tries at this distance but he gets his chance in this softer race. NORTHERN EXCEL (8) has won two of his last four but throws in some bad ones in between. One for the exotics. SUGGESTED PLAY: Chico Casino to win the last.
