Good early pressure with Super Defense or He's Essential likely to take up the running. HE'S ESSENTIAL (6) was a beaten favourite here last time out off a wide trip. He will be spot-on third up and from a superior gate, he is the one to beat. Follow your money. HOTIM ENGLISH (5) capped off some improving form with a well-deserved win here 2 weeks ago. He cops a tough draw this time but is in a good space and can repeat the dose, especially with a kilo less to carry. INFLUENTIAL JACK (1) has needed both of his runs back from a spell and his record third up is strong. He drops right down in class and can take this out. Don't risk him. QUEEN IN THE NORTH (3) put together a hat-trick of wins before finishing fifth here last time out when not having all the luck in the run home. Sonja Logan who knows him well is back in the saddle and the pair can make amends in this. Stick with him. ESSKAY (8) ran a much better race when finishing runner-up here a fortnight ago. He is expected to hold his form now that he is fit and another honest effort is in the cards. SUGGESTED PLAY: He's Essential to win.
