Strong tempo likely with several going forward, headed by Proud Heritage and Grover Tesoro. SAKURA TOP REAL (9) lifted strongly but just failed to pick up the winner when first-up as favourite last start over 1600m at this track. Will take a lot from that hitout. Nicely placed to play a major role. HAGINO SUSTAINABLE (3) resumed over 1900m last time out and turned in a solid effort to finish second at Chukyo Dirt. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. Expected to run well. NEW BALLADE (5) is resuming from a spell of ten weeks and is looking to add to a sequence of three wins, the most recent over 2400m at Nakayama Dirt. Leading contender. VIP SCORPION (10) returned from a spell five weeks ago when he was beaten 5 lengths into fourth over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Strips fitter and can turn things around.
