KING SPIRIT (2) showed some courage when leading for a long way at the Sunshine Coast last start and was only claimed in the final stride, finishing second by a nose. He will be peaking third up and his first win is not far away. PETITE PALACE (9) was a beaten favourite at Ipswich just over 5 weeks ago when failing to see out the 1350m. Her form prior over 1200m was good and she has been close up in a recent trial. Stick with her. CIPHERTEXT (8) is showing promise and will be peaking third up. She has a good draw and is expected to be right in the finish this time. Each way claims in an even contest. AIRBENDER (3) is on debut and hails from the powerful Tony Gollan stable. He benefits from a 2kg claim and the market will tell the story. BARD OF AVON (11) has plenty of pace and is worth each-way consideration, especially if the money comes for him.
