Itsukushima should have enough pace to lead a low-pressure contest. STARDEALT (7) progressed nicely second-up at Pakenham when closing off strongly to miss by a head at long odds. Hitting his straps now and will relish the extra 200m. Gets his chance to break a long run of outs. HOLMES (2) rarely runs a bad race but just lacks a killer instinct, finishing second on nine occasions. Strips fitter third-up and reunites with Pannell who has never missed the frame from eight rides, including both of his wins. Sure to be competitive. ITSUKUSHIMA (3) strikes a more suitable assignment and gets in well at the weights with 2kg claimer Jaylah Kennedy reuniting. Don't overlook. HARD PRINCE (5) missed narrowly here last start on the quick back-up. Gets a nice pull at the weights and is among the chances. Last start winner FOX GEM (1) also deserves respect.
