Hot pace certain with Island Tide, Capital Reign and Voulait keen to take up the running. CAPITAL REIGN (2) had a short prep earlier in the year and is resuming from a spell without any public trials. He was a winner at Roma when fresh up in his last campaign and is drawn perfectly in the pole position here for his track debut. Stacey Callow claims 2kg and the pair merit healthy respect. DEVIL'S RITE (4) looked ready to rumble fresh up when winning a recent trial on this track and he is also well-weighted after a 3kg claim. A good draw helps and he should make his presence felt. A market watch is advised. ISLAND TIDE (3) had over a month between starts when fading out to finish fourth here over 1000m a fortnight ago. She will be sharper for this and will also appreciate the drop back to 870m. Stick with her. Can win. SUGGESTED PLAY: Island Tide each way.
