CALICO KID (5) is an honest gelding who fought on strongly to finish third as favourite last time out at Carnarvon over 1400m nearly 3 weeks ago. He will relish the extra 500m here and also drops 5.5kg in weight. Stick with him and follow your money. LUTZ (8) was sixth in the same race as the top pick last start and can be a touch unreliable at times. He has the advantage of having won on this circuit in the past and with the aid of a 1.5kg claim he does have 7.5kg less to carry this time. He has a few things in his favour and can't be ruled out of winning this. SLUICE BOX (1) has been out of form for some time but is facing his easiest assignment in a while. Each way value.
