Snapper is the probable leader in the small field. ARKANSAW KID (3) looks the one to beat. He resumed as a gelding and was heavily supported at Caulfield to win the Regal Roller Stakes. That support was telling and he maps for a similar run here. A LITTLE DEEP (6) kept her fresh record intact with a smart win first up at Caulfield. She's still lightly raced with a nice profile and can measure up. WHO DARES (4) tried hard behind Arkansaw Kid last time and will run his usual honest race. DESERT LIGHTNING (1) resumes. He was last seen in an All Star Mile behind Pride Of Jenni and does boast a win over Legarto at 1600m. May find them a touch sharp but has the class. SAVANNAH CLOUD (2) is usually thereabouts at this grade. SUGGESTED PLAY: Arkansaw Kid to win.
