A solid tempo is on the cards with King Maywin and Paramount Plus pushing for the lead ahead of Southern Slammer and Motorsports. SOUTHERN SLAMMER (3) resumed with an encouraging run here when chasing home a smart winner, beaten at $2.70 there but with improvement to come. He maps ideally and can go one better. MOTORSPORTS (11) tried hard on debut at Ballarat over 1000m when just missing by a nose on the line. Better for that and the rise to 1200m should suit much better. KING MAYWIN (5) is off a let-up for this. He was disappointing when hard in the market at Bendigo in a good maiden last time having just missed in a strong metro maiden prior. Back to 1200m the knock but he's got the class. WACO KID (4) resumes. His form last time in was consistent and he can run well. SOURCE OF DELIGHT (9) resumes and can be an improver this time in. SUGGESTED PLAY: Southern Slammer to win.
