GOING: G

Sky Racing Handicap 1600m

Track: Good   Rain (Max: 31)   Rail: True.

Looks to be plenty of pace with Desert Mist and Seven Secrets battling for the lead. FUNNYIFITWON (2) is a former handy Victorian-trained gelding who did not take long to break his local duck when winning second up here by over 3 lengths nearly 4 weeks ago. The step up to a mile won't be an issue and he is expected to continue to work his way through the grades. SEVEN SECRETS (3) had made an impressive start to his local career before having no luck at all here last time out over 1200m a fortnight ago. He was a winner over this trip at his start prior and will be hard to hold out in this. CROWN WATERS (6) showed ability when trained in Victoria and has not looked back since shifting to the local Tommy Logan stable. She is chasing a hat-trick of wins from as many starts on this track and can get the job done again. HE'S THE ULTIMATE (1) found some trouble in the run home last time out over 1100m. The extra 500m this time is the key and he can bounce straight back into the money. DESERT MIST (7) is usually thereabouts and is worth including in all combinations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Funnyifitwon on top.
