Speed should be right on over the 1000m journey. MY LOVELY PET (5) just missed over 1100m at this course last start in this grade. He draws a much better gate this time around and he's 1/1 at this course and distance. At peak fitness now and he is expected to be very hard to run down from the front. FOXMANIA (3) swaps the blinkers for the visors this time with Galati hopping in the saddle. He was below his best last time out and has been freshened since that effort. Drawn well and can return to form. OSCAR CHARLIE (2) held on to beat My Lovely Pet in a photo finish last start over 1100m. His record at this trip is a little niggle, but most of those runs have been in much stronger company. Can sit up on the pace and be in this race for a long way once more. ELSA'S PRIDE (7) comes through a strong race at this track and trip 12 days ago where the form has worked out well already. Can play a major role. BRANDBERG (6) was too good at Kojonup last start after some good runs here prior. Can feature. SUGGESTED PLAY: My Lovely Pet can go one better.
