Plenty of early pace to be established by Beer With The Boys, Past And Present and Cumbre Vieja, with Noble Hero close at hand. CUMBRE VIEJA (4) has finished second in his last three starts, the latest of which was over this course and distance. He has a good draw of four and if Richard Fourie is able to keep him on a straight line, he should be rewarded for consistency. LATE DECEMBER (10) is much better than his last start run suggests. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He will strip a much fitter horse and with luck in the running he can surprise. ROYAL PORT LOUIS (8) is a eight-start maiden who resumed from a spell last time out and finished fourth at this track over 1400m. Racing in a fitter state has place prospects. GIVETHATMANABELLS (9) finished third of 12 last start when resuming from a spell over 1400m at this track. Will strip fitter and is a must include in exotic bets.
