JOHNNY REDCOAT (3) was a beaten favourite last start but he was forced to work and also locked wheels so it may pay to be forgiving. There was merit in his previous two efforts from back row draws so a favourable barrier gives him winning claims. DANCIN WITH ELVIS (4) put the writing on the wall with a close second two back at Echuca before recording a last-start win by 8.6 metres at Mt Gambier. Could go on with it. The recent form of HUXHAM CHUBB (5) doesn't leap off the page but he may find this easier. Has performed well at this venue previously so could turn things around. TRUE BLUE ROSE (6) showed improvement in a last-start fourth and has performed well when third-up previously so can progress further.
