A solid tempo on the cards with Star Kanazawa taking charge. PORTO SEGURO (2) was a winner over 1400m at this track last time, racing on the pace before getting the upper hand and scoring by 1.5 lengths. Likely to be in the finish again. STAR KANAZAWA (5) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then did a good job last start but found a couple better over 1400m at this track, beaten only 1.1 lengths. Can go on with it. KAMIGAMINO UTAGE (6) broke his maiden three starts back and has not been far away since, most recently when beaten half a length into third over 1400m at this track. Winning rider Maki Mukoyama sticks. One of the main contenders. OKANO LOUISE (1) finished sixth last time out over 1400m at this track. Has solid credentials and look for an improved run.
