AIR COMBAT (2) led all the way to win his maiden over 1320m at Dubbo two runs back then settled rearwards and failed to quicken last start over a similar journey at Moree. Looking for this trip now and can make amends with the blinkers back on. CALL ME ARTIE (4) missed the kick and was never in contention last time out at Goulburn. Just missed the run before over 1900m at Casino. Big chance on that form. NEVER BIRD (3) appreciated coming back in trip and the drop in grade when a close fourth over the mile at Dubbo recently. Very fit after three runs back from a spell and is ideally placed in this company. THE PRES (7) has been safely held in his two appearances since a very impressive win at Wagga over 1300m. Not very reliable but capable of winning on his day. BANDOLERO (8) wasn't far away at Tuncurry last time and looks an each-way hope. SUGGESTED PLAY: This looks a nice race for Air Combat.
