Battle Commander has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. ARCADIA PARK (4) came to town last start and out performed his market expectation, running 1.2L off the winner at this track and trip. Pike hops back in the saddle now from a favourable alley. Looks to have good ability and he should sit closer in the run this time. Can shed the maiden tag. MEAN MACHINE (2) held on to score in a photo finish over 1200m a fortnight ago and steps up to 1400m for the first time today. He looks to be trending the right way and he wasn't far away in a good form race over 1300m at Pinjarra second-up this time in. Likely to be in this for a long way. SECRET INTENT (9) rattled home on debut at Pinjarra to miss by 0.6L and he's bound to go close with improvement expected. BATTLE COMMANDER (1) just missed here two back and should be in the finish again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Arcadia Park can get the job done.
