Fast tempo assured with Roll Of The Dice, Gamer and Future Knight going at each other early in the piece. THE CANE TRAIN (5) is better than his last start as he was reported to be distressed. He finished second in his previous two efforts. It is encouraging that Gavin Lerena retains the ride and in this line-up, he should be the one to beat. ROLL OF THE DICE (1) has been run down after leading in his last couple of starts. He has a superior gate this time and could be ready to see it through to the end this time. GAMER (2) showed good improvement in his last start over this distance at the Vaal when finishing third in the same race as the second pick. If repeating that effort in this field, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest. ROYAL MIRACLE (7) was well-beaten into second here over this distance last time out. He is a progressive type and with any luck in the running, he can finish in the top 3 again.
