Expecting a strong gallop with Champagne Wishes and New Recruit taking up the running over Eliza James. CHAMPAGNE WISHES (10) showed plenty of pace when trained in Australia, but lacked strength where it counted. She has since relocated to the Ramsay/Ritchie stable, probably with potential as a broodmare, but in this modest field, she could take some catching, especially with the aid of the pole position. NEW RECRUIT (2) was a brave all the way maiden winner last season, and then just battled in his next couple of starts prior to having a deserved spell. He resumes with a recent trial placing on this track under his belt. Check the market leads. WYNDSTORM (3) has needed both of his runs back from a spell, and his only win has come in a clockwise direction. A top 3 finish is on the cards this time. ELIZA JAMES (5) raced too keenly fresh up, expect better here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Champagne Wishes to win.
