Plenty of pace from the outset with Soreike Donchan and Hot Emperor leading the charge. HOT EMPEROR (11) was never really in the hunt last time, drifting back early and winding up in fifth over 1600m at Funabashi. Should be poised just off the lead. Will play a major role. SOREIKE DONCHAN (5) went to the paddock after scoring at her only appearance last prep four-and-a-half months ago over 1400m at this track. Generally goes well here. BEL ROUTE (7) has gotten too far back in his last two but has warmed nicely late. Will appreciate stepping back out this journey and if he's close enough when turning, he can give this a big shake. MIRAIE HOSHO (3) has been far from her best in her last two but has form earlier in the prep that can stack right up. Not dismissing.
