A strong tempo is assured with the debutants applying pressure to the recognised on-pacers Pump The Pedals and Goodello. Interesting race, the majority of the field trained by smaller stables who don't typically appear in town. One that does is Mitchell Freedman who saddles up FARMELIA (11), a Farnan filly on debut. She's won a couple of jumpouts leading in and looks a strong winning hope. GOODELLO (7) resumes having shown ability in two runs last time in, third on debut at Werribee before being in the market in a decent race at Seymour. She draws nicely and can take catching. Wary of TENNESSEE SPIRIT (10) who comes here from WA, now with the Toby Lake yard. She's placed in all three races to date and was a bit of a spruik horse on debut, sent out $1.45 at Belmont. She's got the ability to win this. PUMP THE PEDALS (4) resumes with the speed to push on and give a sight while SPIRIT OF GAIA (9) is race fit and an each-way chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Farmelia to win.
