CIRON HANDICAP 1200m Track: GOOD
Expecting California Bay to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. GAMEPLAYER ELITE (4) was a good winner at this course and distance last start when ridden a treat by Bentley. Now draws off the track, which is the obvious knock, but still rates well and is expected to make his presence felt. HAPPY SHOOTER (2) proved very game on the All-Weather at Sha Tin last start and surprisingly has only raced at Happy Valley once. Rates well and Hewitson sticks. He shapes as one of the major players. CALIFORNIA BAY (7) broke through on the All-Weather last start and ran right up to his career peak. Teetan sticks and he has to be a chance if able to repeat. SPIRIT OF PEACE (1) continues to race well and gets a key switch with Purton taking over. No favours from the wide draw, he's likely to be taken right back, but should be very strong late.
