Expecting Cutout to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. How many times can we put DON PAULY (3) on top before we call it quits. He was doing his best work late when finishing midfield on the turf here just over 3 weeks ago after a short freshen up, and if he can settle handier, or get off the rail early on from his good draw, then he can definitely take this race out. One more time. RETROSTAR (1) got a long way back from a wide gate last time out on this track, and never got into the race. Tina Comignaghi will take over the reins here, and he should settle a touch closer this time even though he cops another wide gate. Stick with him on an each-way basis. WARRIOR BOY (10) did nothing on debut at Wingatui but looked a lot better when finishing second here nearly 4 weeks ago when franking an improved effort at the trials in between those runs. He drops 2kg, and he won't be in this grade for long. LADY GEORGIANA (9) has a query at 1600m, but she is still a top 4 chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Don Pauly is on his last chance to get the job done.
