THE SPECIALIST (4) ran a very good race when second over 1600m in Grade 1 company last time. He is having his first run for the Sean Tarry stable and should have no issues with the drop to 1200m. He is the class horse in this contest and should be the one to beat. MOUNT PINATUBO (5) is better than his last start when finishing fifth in the same Grade 1 race as the top pick. He had an excuse that day and his form prior to that outing was good. He can bounce straight back into the money here. BEAMONESQUE (6) has shown signs of needing his last two starts. He won his only attempt here over this distance at the second time of asking. He will be at peak fitness and is ready to put his best hoof forward. CHAMPION WARRIOR (3) is better than his last two starts suggest. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in his last outing has come out and won since. He is capable of having a say in the outcome of the finish here.
