Scorching early pace from Gottabe Red, I Iz Brilliant and Macca's Hero taking the lead but plenty of others will be right on their heels. THE WYVERN (7) last appeared when fifth over 1175m at Albury five months ago. Hasn't trialled leading in, but draws inside and is a winner over this distance. One of the genuine hopes in the race. EXAGGERATE (1) last appeared on March 19 when a good fourth over 1000m at Queanbeyan, beaten 2.75 lengths. Expect him to pose a serious challenge. I IZ BRILLIANT (2) turned in a strong run to score two back but missed the frame in town last time, finishing back in the field at Rosehill in Highway company. Rates well in this easier assignment and looks a definite winning hope on best form. WHAT HAPPENED (5) pushed forward from a wide draw last time and found the front, leading around the bend but capitulating to finish tenth over 1200m at Swan Hill. Has ability and a bold showing is expected. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Wyvern to win.
