Expecting a genuine pace with a number of these keen to go forward. UPWOODS (4) registered a Pakenham maiden win three runs back and two subsequent efforts in town have been strong for a race like this. Expected to go close. DANDRUFF (6) appreciated the rise in trip when breaking through for maiden win at Swan Hill. Looks a promising stayer and is worthy of respect. DODGY ONE (1) is rarely too far from the mark in a race like this and has to be given thought. BOGUES (2) wasn't too far from the money at Ballarat last time after being retired from a race at Sandown. Shapes as though he will handle this trip. Has claims.
