Strong early pace from Watashiwa Majo, Cannoli and Jack Avanti, with Spider Barows and Captain Fuji on their heels. CAPTAIN FUJI (8) strode forward early from his wide draw last start over 1600m at this track then fought on gamely to finish second. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. JACK AVANTI (6) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at this track over 1600m. Settles close to the speed. Looks well placed this line-up so expect another big run. COSMO CONQUEST (1) turned in a fine effort to score by 1.5 lengths at today's track and distance last start in a far better run. Looks well placed so expect another big run. SPIDER BAROWS (10) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a spell then again missed the frame last start over 1800m at this track, beaten 11 lengths into ninth. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
