Bella Ace and Artie Bee possess good early speed and will battle for early honours.
BENTLEY BROOK (4) has struck form since a seven-week let-up. Led and bolted in two runs back at Goulburn then took a sit and worked home well but found one better last start at Canberra. Up a little in class but gets some weight relief and should be there at the business end again. VADERZAN (10) worked home evenly without threatening first-up over this trip at Canberra four weeks ago. Finished just behind Bentley Brook that day and will improve with the run under the belt so he poses a serious threat. LYSANDER (5) returns from a four-month spell and has transferred from Joe Pride to Natalie Jarvis. Went okay at the provincials last prep which is good form for this. STARLIV (9) defeated some of today's key rivals over this trip at Canberra two runs back. Subsequently failed at 1200m but back at this distance she is a major player. ARTIE BEE (1) has a good strike rate, but the last 100m here is his worry. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Bentley Brook and Vaderzan.
