KOMA BISHO (2) lifted strongly to salute by half a length three runs back at Morioka Dirt before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Hidetoshi Abe who has three wins when partnering stays on. Leading contender. ESPERTO (1) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race when he did his best work late and finished 3 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1600m at Morioka Dirt. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. MAUL (5) scored two runs back then was well supported last time but could only manage to finish eighth over the same trip at Morioka Dirt after he had settled well back. Going up a level this time but he is good enough to play a major role. LOVE ROCK (3) ran well below his best last time over 1600m at Morioka Dirt, beaten 16 lengths into seventh at $4.60. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Can bounce back
