STAR TURN (6) is a speedy colt who was an easy winner first up at this track as a short-priced favourite. Tackles a deeper field this time but with natural improvement to come he looks sure to be in the finish. MEISHO HOREN (11) is a promising type who scored at his last run before a break seven months ago over 1200m at Kyoto Dirt. Should be prominent in the run despite the awkward gate. Among the leading chances. KANAU (7) finished third last time over 1200m at Niigata Dirt when resuming from a spell, beaten 0.6 lengths. Doesn't need to improve that much to be right in the thick of things. TAKANENO HANAKOSAN (8) started favourite but was distanced when resuming from a 17-month spell last start. Worth another chance.
