Strong pace with Mieno Thunder pushing forward along with Crown Shooter from an outside gate. MIENO THUNDER (6) was leading on the turn and fought on to finish third over 1650m at this track at his latest appearance. Has a strong record here at this journey and Keita Nishi who has scored on him five times retains the mount. Well placed and should be in the finish. MEINER SUBMARINE (2) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by half a length over 1600m at Funabashi. Will be better for that latest run and must be respected. REIRI (1) got home by a head last time out over 1650m at this track. Has five wins here and can go on with it. ORTHO SLUGGER (7) fought on for second last start over 1600m at this track, beaten one length to add to some fine recent form. Nicely placed to feature in the finish.
