Emperor Wakea should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep him honest. Grade 3 winner EMPEROR WAKEA (2) is a promising type who finished in the placings over 1400m at Tokyo Dirt at his last appearance on May 25 the only run of that campaign. Has a strong fresh record including a win and two minor placings. Clearly the one they have to beat. Grade 3 placegetter SUNRISE FLAME (1) added to his fine record when second over 1400m in stakes class at Kyoto Dirt at the last run before going for a break on May 12. Has a strong first-up record with two wins from four runs so he is among the leading chances. The talented PACE SETTING (4) is back at the races for the first time since May 12. Filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1700m at Kokura Dirt. Among the better hopes. REIZVOLL (8) last appeared when successful by a neck over 1400m at Kyoto Dirt 11 weeks ago, the only time he went to the races last prep. Has good early toe and can play a role.
