Very keen early battle with Keiai Sandera and Sea Wizard matching motors and there are a few others that can keep them busy. KEIAI SANDERA (3) returns from a layoff of three-and-a-half months. Filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 2400m at Kyoto. Useful stayer who looks a strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. SERIAL NOVEL (6) went forward when resuming last start and proved too strong, getting home by 5 lengths over 2600m at Hakodate. Must raise the bar but another win is not out of the question. WIDE EMPEROR (12) finished second last time over 2000m at this track when resuming from a spell, beaten 3 lengths. The engagement of Fujioka is noteworthy. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. NIGHT IN LONDON (4) made good late inroads and got up for second when resuming over today's trip at Niigata last start. Tough to stop again.
