He doesn't win out of turn but has been racing well over shorter trips and a rise to 1600m shouldn't be an issue at all. Beaten a head by the talented Acid Wash here last time reads well and he should be able to set up nicely from the front. ROGUERY (5) found the line nicely fresh behind Sepals, who has since won the G3 CS Hayes dominantly at Flemington. Out to 1600m suits, he should be charging late. HOWLIN' RAIN (2) is fresh off a 55-day let up but has won his past three. Back in trip is the query for him. CRAFTY BOSS (4) defied a lack of market support last start, scoring by 4 lengths over 1600m at Colac. Backmarker who gets home hard and can run on into the finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Georgie Get Mad on top.
