1 01:00 Race 1 1400m
M T MORTON (2) is the horse to beat after closing off for fourth behind Rainbow Tree at this track, beaten five and a half lengths while among the outsiders. That was a clear step forward from his previous seventh and he now gets another suitable chance with the strongest recent rating profile in the field. DAN STONE ROOK (8) resumes from a one-month gap after finishing seventh at Mombetsu over 1200m, and while the 1400m is new, this looks within reach if she can settle into the race more kindly than she has at recent starts. ROYAL RUN (3) was fifth in the same Rainbow Tree race, finishing behind M T Morton but still improving on a well-beaten debut, so she has minor claims at her third run. ALLONSY SANNASUBI (1) has been soundly beaten twice at Mombetsu over 1000m, yet the class drop, race fitness and inside draw keep her in the place mix if she handles 1400m.
2 01:35 Race 2 1400m
FAMOUS POKKE (6) has the most appealing progression, improving from a debut fourth into a third behind Rainbow Tree at this track, beaten two and a half lengths after working home evenly. He has placed once from two starts at both this venue and the distance, and third-up he looks ready to give this a proper shake. FRIENDLY GRIN (5) is the obvious danger after finishing second in that same Rainbow Tree race, beaten a length, and he has the direct advantage over Famous Pokke from that meeting. The query is whether he can repeat that after a plain Mombetsu run the start prior. RINNENO HANADOKEI (8) returns fresh and has some minor-placing credentials, although 1400m is new and her latest Mombetsu form was only fair. KING OF MIRACLE (9) was a very short odds-on favourite when failing to finish last start, so he is hard to assess, but his earlier Mombetsu sixth and stable profile keep him in the place discussion if he rebounds cleanly.
3 02:10 Race 3 1500m
MO MO THEORY (1) brings the right profile after a close third at this track, beaten a length and a half by Eolssu after being sent around among the outsiders. His start prior also had merit when fourth behind Love Me Beauty, closing off from the rear, and his two placings from four starts at around this trip keep him firmly in the winning discussion. WES WIN (6) is the obvious danger on consistency, having run second at her past two starts at this venue and finishing ahead of Mo Mo Theory last time. KAROYAKA (7) has to rebound from a plain last placing behind Carino Sofia, but his earlier fifth behind Keen To Win was more competitive and gives him a place platform. FUROAGARINO BEER (2) returns from a short break after running on for fourth at Mombetsu and can be competitive for a minor prize if he handles this track and trip more effectively.
4 02:45 Race 4 1500m
HAJIMARINO AIZU (2) sets the standard after backing up a two-length win at this track with a half-length second to Miracle Sali Chan, where she led and was only collared late. Her one win and three placings from five starts at this venue give her the most reliable profile among the main hopes. STARS OF SAWA (3) was beaten six lengths behind the same winner last start, but his debut win was well backed and decisive, and the third-up profile gives him room to rebound. RAINBOW TREE (7) brings a lightly raced winning profile after scoring as odds-on favourite at this track, though she still has less depth than the first two. EOLSSU (1) has found form quickly, winning by a length last start after a solid third, and his 1500m record keeps him in the place and each-way mix.
5 03:20 Race 5 1500m
COLORS RING (10) is the clear starting point after winning at this track last start, putting a plain run behind her with a length success over Ecoro Dunes. She had been beaten by a runner she meets again prior to that, but the latest effort was the stronger pointer and her 1500m record gives the top selection enough substance. LAST YOMMARU (1) is the main danger on consistency, having run second at his past four starts and again closing to be beaten a length by Eclair last time. ISAMU DIAMOND (6) also arrives off a decisive win, scoring by three lengths from Chono Yoni Mau at this venue, and his track-and-distance profile makes him a legitimate winning hope if he holds that form. OBRA MAESTRA (7) was run down late when third to Eclair first-up and has a strong rider-horse record with Tatsuya Nakajima, so he remains a genuine minor hope with upside second-up.
6 04:20 Race 6 1500m
CONTINUAR (1) resumes as the horse to beat off a last-campaign sequence that included a seven-length win over True Barows at this venue and a half-length second to Hakusan Pioneer when a prohibitive odds-on favourite. His record at this track and around 1500m gives the selection a solid base. SAI AND KO (4) is the danger after winning by two lengths from Kurfurst at this track last start, with his 13 wins from 20 starts showing the substance in the profile. TABLAO (9) has to answer for a flat odds-on sixth behind Never Let You Go, but his four-length win the start prior and strong jockey pairing keep him in the mix. ACKERMAN (8) brings different form, having beaten Satono Mustang at Funabashi, and his 1500m record says he can stretch that winning form into a placing chance.
7 04:55 Race 7 1400m
FESTIVE KAREN (2) is the one to beat after missing by only a neck to Laurel Runway in a 3yo+ C1 at this track, a sharp rebound from an unwanted seventh the run prior. She is proven at this track and distance and reunites with a rider who has won on her three times, giving her the most persuasive winning profile. ODEN OPAL (5) brings the most consistent recent shape, with a close second two back and a respectable fourth when near the top of an open market last time. LAND SUR (3) has to recover from a plain last-start failure, but his track-and-distance record keeps him in the mix for a placing. PRIME LINE (1) has been safely held at his past two, yet his excellent record at this venue and trip gives him an outside way into calculations.
8 05:30 Race 8 1400m
CALLAGHAN TESORO (7) brings the clearest current form after consecutive seconds in 3yo+ C1 races at this venue, the better of them a narrow miss behind Link Arms before another solid placing behind Meisho Gorushi. He has enough 1400m grounding at this track to make that profile stand up. FULL GORILLA (2) is the main danger on set-up, with a drop from a 3yo+ COND last start and a long 1400m history that includes seven wins, although his recent margins mean he has to sharpen up. SUN SHIP (3) resumes after three months and has a stronger overall strike profile than most of these, with six wins from 35 starts and a sound record around 1400m. The two plain ALLOW runs before the break temper enthusiasm, so he appeals more for the placings. LANCE OF VENUS (5) has been below winning level at her past two, but her distance record is solid and Taiga Kurihara taking the ride gives her a realistic minor-money profile.
9 06:05 Race 9 1500m
ANGEL BONHEUR (2) returns from a six-week let-up and gets the nod on the strength of her 2yo Open exposure at Sapporo, where she was beaten five and a half lengths after racing handy at long odds. Her fourth at Mombetsu the start prior also reads well enough for this grade, and the class drop gives her a strong platform to rebound. CREAM PAN (6) has the more reliable recent line, closing well for fourth at Mombetsu behind Kazu Dream and having Elder Flower behind her there. ELDER FLOWER (1) is now third-up, kept working when fifth in that same race and had earlier made ground from a hopeless position at Mombetsu. CARINO SOFIA (8) brings the clean winning form after scoring by a length and a half at this track, with two wins from three tries around 1500m keeping her firmly in the mix.
10 06:45 Race 10 900m
TRUSTED (4) is the clear horse to beat after putting together two decisive wins at this track, most recently scoring by four lengths after being sent out a prohibitive odds-on favourite. The prior seven-length win from Gustav adds further depth, and Shoma Kato staying aboard reinforces the strongest winning profile. NAC STATE (6) is the main danger on consistency, with consecutive thirds in 3yo A1 and 3yo A2 company and an excellent overall record at this track, though the first try around 900m is the key adjustment. A SHIN QUASAR (5) was disappointing as an odds-on favourite last start, but the class drop and fourth-up fitness give him a genuine chance to rebound into the money if he handles the sharp distance change. KALUZA KLEIN (7) has placed in both runs this campaign and is third-up with Tatsuya Nakajima retaining the ride, but he was beaten as a short favourite two back and is also new to this 900m assignment.
