NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:30 Solar1 Electrical Maiden Plate 1500m
Moderate pace only with Gilgeous leading Roll With It. GILGEOUS (9) looks the one best set up to win at his third career start. He was beaten a long neck on debut at Echuca then just found a short-priced favourite a touch too strong here last time. Should be fitter again now and expect Dee to find the front and prove too strong. CERTAINLY QUIET (4) resumes. She was knocking on the door before the break with four minor placings in a row, including a narrow defeat in the G3 SA Fillies Classic. This is a good trip to kick off at and she should go well. ZOUCITY (11) has been thereabouts in all three runs to date, the past two in town and is suited back a notch. SOARING LEGEND (10) first-starter by Grunt out of Isobel's Locket. Has had seven hit-outs leading into this, the latest when fourth in a Flemington jump-out. Yard has a strong strike rate with debutantes. Watch betting.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Gilgeous to win.
2 02:00 Bendigo Locksmiths 4YO & Up Maiden Plate 1300m
Expecting a strong tempo with Clux Star, Amarillo Sky and Our Inheritance going forward ahead of Swift Statement and Trouble'n Paradise. MONSIEUR CLAUDE (4) was sent out a $2.50 favourite on debut here and ran on strongly from a long way back, doing a bit wrong in the run. Does draw very wide again here which is the niggle but he should improve and can atone. TROUBLE'N PARADISE (8) just missed in a bunched finish first up at Sale and should come on from that. Each way. CLUX STAR (9) is going along well with three placings from six starts this time in. Rates a danger. AMARILLO SKY (1) has been in the market at his recent starts but yet to break through, the latest running fourth at Tatura when fresh. Looks one for the minors. BRILLIANT BULL ANT (3) knuckled down strongly when finished half a length from the winner at Ballarat. One for consideration.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Monsieur Claude to win.
3 02:35 Sheahan Plumbing 3YO Maiden Plate 1300m
Plenty of first starters engaged which makes it tricky to map, but we can assume a solid tempo. ZOO DAZZLER (14) ran a good race first up at Caulfield Heath behind an all the way winner, working home well to grab third. This looks a nice option second up provided she handles softer going which is an unknown. ADAKITE (7) is knocking on the door with three minor placings in a row. She was third to Pretty Baby in a Listed race two back in Adelaide which is top form and ground will be no issue. Rates highly. VOLESTAIN (6) resumes having run okay in a decent race at Flemington on debut. He can be an improver this time around. DIVINE ERUPTION (11) resumes having run a solid race on debut at Warrnambool in a Vobis race and has claims here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Zoo Dazzler on top.
4 03:10 Eaglehawk Sales & Hire Maiden Plate 1000m
Luscombe is expected to lead at a keen tempo. SEMANTICS (14) resumes having been well backed on debut at Sandown Hillside in a handy 2yo race, boxing on well for a narrow third. Since trialled nicely and looks ready to go first up. KEEN OBSERVER (10) has placed in all four runs to date, hard in the market each time. Been a bit costly but a win looks close. HE'S A DANDY (18) didn't fire in three runs in Hong Kong but comes here with the Hayes yard and has won a jumpout nicely, very wary. LUSCOMBE (8) returns from a spell. Ran sixth in latest jump-out at Mornington. Raced just once to date and finished third at Sandown-Hillside over 1200m. Can improve  SUGGESTED PLAY: Semantics to win.
5 03:45 Ladbrokes Tote Win +10% BM66 Handicap 1100m
Good tempo anticipated with Immortal Triumph and Brenlyn's Legacy leading the way. IMMORTAL TRIUMPH (8) won two on the bounce prior to last start at Caulfield Heath when fading. He can settle handy and bounce back. BARDIA'S DREAM (15) was poor last time when in the market but did go well on heavy ground at Seymour prior and that form reads well. Include. DELICATE LADY (2) was responsible for a better run last time out when third over 1100m at this track, beaten a long neck. Has wet-track form and can threaten here. VOLATILE (18) hasn't won for more than a year but ran a solid race 17 days ago when third over 1200m at Mornington. Handles the conditions and is worth including in wider plays.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 8,15,2.
6 04:20 cluBarham Class 1 Handicap 1300m
Karren to take up the running with Lygon Street Luigi and Ice Quake close at hand. KARREN (5) is a promising mare who looks very well placed. She beat Sass Appeal on debut in town which has turned out to be very good form then started favourite and just found one better at Geelong first up. The winner there is a pretty good horse in its own right and she should be fitter with every chance from the gate. MEDIA PUPPET (2) was a $21 chance on debut but looked good winning dominantly at Seymour and can go on with it. SHAPENAPIT (9) is going well and looks a solid each way chance. LYGON STREET LUIGI (4) is resuming from a lay-off. Progressing well including a win in a Flemington jump-out. Place hope fresh.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Karren to win.
7 04:55 Bendigo Mazda BM66 Handicap (MCC Series Heat 2) 1600m
Pace genuine with Koyuga Rip booting up to lead. OUR JUSTIFY (13) looks the one to beat. She's been very consistent throughout her career having only missed a place once and is coming off a good win here over 1400m, sent out the $2.50 favourite and running on well to score. Can't see the step up in trip posing an issue and she can win again. KASTUN STAR (5) has won two on the bounce, backing up the easy Mornington victory with a good effort at Cranbourne. Bit harder here but should take beating again. GLENFINNAN (12) presents third up and ready to win having shown nice improvement second up when second to a progressive one in town. Don't love the draw but he'll take holding out. UNTAPPED (4) wasn't far behind Our Justify last time and is in the mix again. EISHAA (3) is flying and can measure up again despite a tricky gate.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Our Justify to win.
8 05:25 Bendigo Cup Packages On Sale Now BM62 Handicap 1400m
Genuine tempo with What A Ripper leading the way. WHAT A RIPPER (12) is a progressive 3yo who won easily at Ballarat Synthetic on debut before a sound effort onto turf at Ballarat last time when third. Up to 1400m now is interesting but his dam did place in a 2000m G1 Australasian Oaks and he gets every chance on the map. CELESTIAL AWARD (9) resumes for her second campaign. She was close up on debut over this trip at Pakenham in a handy maiden and was thought highly enough of to tackle a G1 Vinery at Rosehill before a break. Respecting. REGAL MIGHT (3) is going okay without winning. He's rock hard fit and will be up on speed. VIVA MAURICIO (11) wasn't far away last time at Sandown Lakeside and has been let up since. He can improve.  SUGGESTED PLAY: What A Ripper to win.
