NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:12 Eyre Car Centre Maiden Plate 1210m
Fullheadofsteam to go to the lead at a genuine tempo. FULLHEADOFSTEAM (1) has been freshened up since leading then tiring to finish fourth over 1600m at Strathalbyn on 19 August. Wearing blinkers for the first time in what looks a far easier assignment. Expecting a big run. HABONDIA (9) settled midfield and held that position to the line without threatening over 1250m at Morphettville Parks last start. Big drop in grade today and just needs a little luck from the wide gate to be highly competitive. IT'S A SOLID DEEL (3) dropped out quickly last start when stretched to 2000m at Murray Bridge. Can run a better race back at this more suitable journey. Market watch on the debutant ONLY ONE RULER (11) who has finished third at all three trials.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Fullheadofsteam to break through.
2 01:45 Lincoln Estate Maiden Plate 1000m
Solid tempo with Uncommon Mind leading from This Is The Day and Trevidi. THIS IS THE DAY (5) led for home but was gone soon after over 1100m at Strathalbyn last start. Given a five-week freshen-up since that appearance. Faces by far the weakest race of his three so far. Should be hard to roll. SAUNTERING (4) returns after a 193-day spell. Raced three times in the maiden prep, with a 2.3-length fifth over 1200m at Balaklava the highlight. Strong contender if he found that form. UNCOMMON MIND (11) last raced 11 months ago. Finished second over 1075m at Penola last prep which is strong form for a race like this. Should go fast and take some catching. GOLDEN BASILICA (8) is a St Mark's Basilica three-year-old on debut. Placed at the last three jump-outs which is encouraging. Betting the key. VASILIAS (7) comes here off a six-week freshen-up and is third-up. Placed at his only other run at this stage of the prep. Keep in mind.  SUGGESTED PLAY: This Is The Day on top in a race that is hard to line up.
3 02:20 Lincoln Mower & Motorcycle Benchmark 68 Handicap 1350m
In a small field either Chef Militaire or Eire To The Jungle will find the front.  I'M A DEXSTAR (5) started at $101 but ran a cheeky race first-up in open company at Morphettville five weeks ago, beaten under four lengths by The Cosmic One who has won four straight. Loves racing here and looks very well in after the claim. Hard to go past. RAIKOKE (1) turned for home last of 15 then passed a few in the straight last time out over 1000m at Murray Bridge. A shadow of his old stakes-winning self but in this company a big run is on the cards. Veteran CHEF MILITAIRE (4) has been freshened up since scoring a rare win last time out over 1396m at Port Augusta. In the money at four of five runs here so he cannot be ruled out. KOKORO (6) returns from a 20-week spell. Good fresh performer who has trialled twice leading on into this. Can play a big role without surprising. EIRE TO THE JUNGLE (7) has changed stables since leading for home then finishing fourth over 1450m at Tatura four weeks back. One to consider down in the weights.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on I'm A Dexstar.
4 02:55 Q Mechanical Benchmark 64 Handicap 1000m
Spiritual Gal and Shuttle Run can be prominent. SASSY FOR SURE (5) is a new arrival in the Trevor Montgomerie stable and lines up for the first time in 16 weeks. Ran exclusively at Saturday metro level last prep, the best effort a third over 1050m at Morphettville Parks. Recent trial winner who has the talent to take this out. PICK 'N' MIX (1) has transferred to the Dunn/Bishop barn since finishing last of eight over this distance at Sandown 25 days ago. Won a Strathalbyn jump-out on Tuesday so she looks to have settled in well. Definite contender. RUSSIAN BOBSHARK (4) has not raced since July 2025. Going well at the jump-outs so worth monitoring for market support. SHUTTLE RUN (7) might need this run but is capable of sneaking into the top four.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Sassy For Sure.
5 03:25 Kym Clarke Construction Benchmark 66 Handicap 1210m
A solid tempo is on the cards with Power Primo and Charka pushing for the lead ahead of Renegade Chief and Lava Lad.  THERE GOES MY HERO (4) returns after a six-month spell. Raced at this track four times last prep and as competitive on each occasion. Finished fourth in a recent trial here and should be ready to make an immediate impact. Stablemate BROADWAY DANCER (9) last appeared 11 months ago when successful over 1400m at Balaklava under the care of Stephen Theodore. Beautifully in at the weights and should come to hand very quickly. MY MATE SONNY (1) is back after a 20-week lay-off. Unplaced here at this trip first-up last prep then stepped up in distance and won two straight, both times at Port Lincoln. Might be better for this run but cannot be ruled out entirely. CHARKA (10) drops 4.5kgs off a failure over 1000m at Murray Bridge 25 days ago. Very fit now and from gate one gets all the favours. TALENT SCOUT (5) failed first-up at Morphettville by will find this many lengths easier.  SUGGESTED PLAY: There Goes My Hero on top.
6 04:05 Port Lincoln Hotel Rating 0 - 54 Handicap 1000m
Solid tempo with Dark Lager leading from Prescient and Chiaro.  ANOTHER BRIDE (4) races for the first time in 27 weeks. Strung together a win and two minor placings at this track early last prep before the form deteriorated. Has looked good in trials/jump outs recently so a positive first-up run is anticipated. SOLAR GAZE (2) returns from a six-month spell. Was beaten narrowly twice in March over this course and distance before a poor run at Oakbank put an end to the campaign. Finished second in a recent Strathalbyn jump-out which suggests he is forward enough to run well. EQUINE HEADLINE (5) is back after a seven-month spell and looking to break a drought of around three years. Closed the last campaign with two minor placings here, the latest at this distance. Always a threat around this circuit. IN YOUR WORDS (7) resumes off a 24-week spell. Blinkers go on straight away which can be construed as a positive sign from the Tootell camp. PRESCIENT (1) has been in the frame at four of five first-up runs so keep him in mind at the first run back.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Another Bride can win first-up.
7 04:40 Sportsbet Rating 0 - 54 Handicap 1000m
Grecian Storm can work over from a wide draw to lead.  LAKE AGAWAM (7) is back after a six-month spell. Has won when fresh in the past and a couple of recent placings in Strathalbyn jump-outs suggest he is forward in his prep and can win again. BENDING AWAY (3) last raced six months ago. Impressively took out a race over this course and distance last time in work. Beaten a long neck in a trial here on 21 September so she looks ready to make her presence felt. ALFANO (5) makes his first appearance since April and is out to break a winless run going back to June 2023. Placed at five of ten visits to Port Lincoln. Good each-way option. Veteran RIVERSIDE ROCK (11) is back for an eighth campaign and makes his 50th appearance at Port Lincoln. Gets in with a featherweight after the claim so don't take him lightly. CHESTERAY (1) has won twice when fresh in the past so he must be considered first-up after a 27-week spell.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Lake Agawam on top.
8 05:15 Yumbah Mussels Holdings Rating 0 - 56 Handicap 1350m
From their wide draws Sir Panama and Agreeance will press on and set a geniune tempo.  DOUGAL MCKEEN (7) was ridden with more aggression last start and the move paid off when he staged a form reversal to get the cash over 1400m at Mt Gambier. Building a nice record at this trip and with the race fitness edge on many key rivals he can add another win today. SIR PANAMA (3) returns after a 137-day absence. Had a strong SP profile right through last prep but failed to salute. Boasts an outstanding record of four wins and two placings from seven runs over this course and distance. Must be respected. CHARLESFORT (4) was back in form last time out, beaten under a length over 1550m at Bordertown. Comes back in trip but the reapplication of blinkers should offset that. One of the key contenders. Distance specialist NAVY GOLD (5) is back after a 27-week spell. Has trialled twice recently and looks set to make an immediate impact. OUTCASTER (12) is first-up off a 24-week spell. Placed three from five when fresh so keep her in mind.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Dougal McKeen to win again.
