NUM TIME COMMENT
1 10:05 Maiden Race 2750m
LAPIN RAPIDE (7) wasn't far away when resuming from a layoff last start, beaten a neck into second in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata. Strips fitter and is again a top chance. AUSWAHL (2) is yet to land a glove in two runs this prep. Resumed with a sixth in a maiden steeplechase (2910m) at Kyoto then was 5.5 lengths away in a maiden steeplechase (3000m) at Tokyo 22 days ago. Must be a chance in today's scenario. TOA MARISHITEN (9) returned from a spell last start with a solid second in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata. Placed 4/8 over the fences. He's improving with racing and one of the main dangers. POINT CULMINANT (4) was unplaced two starts ago in a maiden steeplechase (2970m) at Hanshin then improved last time when he wound up in fourth, beaten 6 lengths, in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata. Worth serious consideration.
2 10:40 Maiden Race 1700m
WIN BEGINNING (12) made a strong late bid but just failed to pick up the winner as favourite last start over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. ITOSHISA (5) finished 5.5 lengths away in ninth last time out over 1400m at Tokyo when fresh from a spell. Tackles a longer journey this time. Kosei Miura has registered three minor placings when on board. Should be hard to stop. KASHIMA RAIFU (13) ran below expectations last time at Tokyo Dirt, finishing sixth and beaten 6 lengths starting at $6.10. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. ASHITABA SPIRITS (10) is a three-year-old filly on debut from the stable of Yuichiro Nishida. By Makfi from Not Formal. Top-three chance.
3 11:10 Maiden Race 1200m
O SEIKEI (5) wasn't far away on debut last start over 1400m at Tokyo, finishing third and beaten 0.8 lengths. Showed good speed and just missed. Expected to take catching here. EIFER RAPID (2) stepped out on her debut over 1200m at Hanshin two weeks ago and finished ninth, beaten 15 lengths. Stepped out from a wide gate at that outing and draws much better in the small field here. Likely improver and worth following up. BEAR AMICI (3) raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fifth, beaten 7 lengths, over 1400m at Tokyo. One of the main contenders. DOLCE TESORO (1) sat on the pace on debut last start but faded late when 8 lengths back in sixth over 1400m at Tokyo. Capable of a much better performance.

By Just A Way and comes from the Jiro Ono stable. Expect a bold run. CENTER ISLAND (7) is on debut. By Efforia and comes from the Takayuki Kato stable. Pay to watch for any positive betting moves.
6 01:00 Maiden Race 1150m
SATONO WAGNER (6) showed good early muster and fought on to finish third last start over 1400m at Tokyo Dirt. Will take advantage of the good draw. Ready to win after a solid performance last time out. IIKUNI PASSION (7) resumes from a spell of five-and-a-half months after closing off last preparation with three consecutive minor placings. Has a high cruising speed. Leading contender. MIRABILLION (11) is a seven-start maiden who finished fifth, beaten 5.5 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1400m at Tokyo Dirt. Will derive great benefit from that outing and deserves consideration. LIA ARTESIAN (2) finished 3.5 lengths away in sixth at her last appearance over 1000m at Niigata on May 10. Likely to be thereabouts.
7 01:30 Maiden Race 1200m
Lots of these just making up the numbers. IRON PIKE (14) battled on well to hold second last start over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt, beaten a nose. This ideal and sure to figure in the finish. KISSHO DHARANI (7) is back after a break of five-and-a-half months. Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing third at his latest appearance over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt. Placed 3/3 so far and looks the clear danger. MEINER WESEN (15) returns from a spell of 12 weeks. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when eighth over 1600m at Nakayama. Has found the right race and is worth including. SUKH (6) closed last prep four-and-a-half months ago when he finished ninth over 1400m at Tokyo Dirt. One of the main contenders.
8 02:00 Allowance Race 2600m
ACE FLIGHT (10) recorded a strong maiden win over 2000m at Hanshin last time, getting there by 5 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Looks well placed and he is likely to feature in the finish again. NIHONPIRO ROGER (5) was safely held when resuming from a spell behind Congestus in the G2 Kyoto Shimbun Hai over 2200m, beaten 5 lengths into eighth. This looks a more suitable assignment. GENJI (1) has not won for a long while. Last raced on June 6 when beaten 3.5 lengths into fourth at Tokyo over 2400m. Perfectly placed and is sure to play a major role. STRAIGHT BLACK (7) turned in a better run last start, beaten 1.5 lengths into fifth over 2400m at Tokyo. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
9 02:35 MATSUSHIMA TOKUBETSU 2000m
BOW WINDOW (6) is a progressive four-year-old filly who hasn't raced since finishing second over 2000m at Nakayama on April 19 which was the only run of that prep. Has a win and three minor placings at this journey from five starts and excels fresh. Looks a top chance. NOBILISSIMA VISION (12) was last at the races when she finished second over 1800m at Tokyo on April 25. Comes here with definite claims. ARITHMETIQUE (1) is a promising galloper who won at her only run last prep nine weeks ago over 2000m at this track. Sound record at this distance with two wins and three minor placings from six runs and is one of the contenders. HO O CINDERELLA (10) is close to breaking through after three consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 2000m at Niigata. Nicely placed to find winning ways.
10 03:10 TSURUGAJO STAKES 1700m
Looks a good race for the progressive ECLIPSE RUBAN (4). Was going well before a spell with two straight minor placings. Proven first-up performer back from a break of ten weeks. Should be prominent from the outset. Expecting a bold showing. BUGGY WHIP (3) resumes. Didn't make an impact at his only run last prep on April 18, finishing 12th and beaten 10 lengths over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Has switched to the Masahiro Otake yard over the break. Miyabi Muto who has scored on him two times retains the mount. Bold showing expected. DUBAI BLUES (9) comes here off a break of ten weeks. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Sure to make his presence felt. OLIVE GREEN (1) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago but was less impressive last time out when fifth over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt, beaten 4.5 lengths. In the mix.
11 03:45 THE RADIO NIKKEI SHO 1800m
SKY SPLENDOR (14) resumes after a break of four-and-a-half months. Won on debut to launch the last campaign over 1800m at Kyoto. Promising colt with upside and will be tough to beat. RITZ PARTY (5) is fresh from a win last time out, scoring by 1.3 lengths at Tokyo over 1800m. Will appreciate the drop in the weights. Has the pace and the right draw to find a good early position. Expecting a bold showing. SANONO GREATER (13) is a talented colt who tackled a tougher race at his last run on April 19 and finished ninth behind Lovcen over 2000m in the G1 Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2000 Guineas) at Nakayama. Settles back early but winds up late. One to consider. LORBEERKRANZ (12) comes here off a last-start fourth, beaten 2.75 lengths, over 1600m at Tokyo. Well placed and likely to feature.
12 04:30 Allowance Race 1150m
BOUQUET DE LYS (13) is a promising type who scored at her last run before a break three-and-a-half months ago over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt. Should park just off the speed despite the draw. Will prove tough to beat. SONIC BREAKER (7) started at $5 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 5 lengths at Tokyo Dirt over 1400m after being prominent at the bend. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. ROYAL SPIRE (1) is back from a spell of three months. Scored a determined win at his final run last campaign at Chukyo Dirt over 1200m. Has found the right race and is worth including. KUALOA RANCH (5) is a progressive three-year-old filly who resumes from a break of ten weeks, her last appearance being a win over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt at her only run of that campaign. Goes well when fresh including a win and one minor placings. Should be poised just off the lead. Must be respected.
