NUM TIME COMMENT
1 11:31 LIMERICK PARK MAIDEN 1200m
Genuine tempo with Maureen's Angel leading the way. MAUREEN'S ANGEL (4) sat up front on debut when crossing from a wide draw and was only 0.5L off the winner at the finish. Has been scratched since due to a minor mishap, but Pike hops on board now from a favourable alley. Can sit up front and be tough to gun down. CAPE CHURCHILL (9) has shown glimpses at the trials and looks to have found a suitable race for his debut. The inside draw should see him get every chance and it wouldn't surprise to see him make an immediate impact. UNWANTED NEWS (6) was sound on resumption over 1300m at Northam last time out and should be better for that effort. Ticks a few boxes here and can build on the handy return. DREAMS OF DIAMONDS (8) draws the inside and can't be discounted on resumption. OUR ENCHANTRESS (5) gets the blinkers on for the first time today and that can spark her into a strong return effort.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Maureen's Angel can get the job done.
2 12:11 REAL PUNTERS PLAY HERE TABTOUCH MAIDEN 1200m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Leg Godt leading the way. LEG GODT (8) disappointed at Northam last time out over 1300m but was building nicely prior to that. Back to 1200m today won't be an issue and she should be able to find the front again. Can bounce back to her best and give them something to chase. EIGHTYSEVEN LAD (1) showed promising signs in his debut campaign and looks to be in good order coming into this, winning a recent trial under Faithfull. She remains in the irons and he'll be very hard to hold out if he can pick up from where he left off. LETS TAKE A CHANCE (3) comes here on debut after a few handy trials in readiness. He'll be fit with three trials under his belt coming into this and Azzopardi has options from the barrier. Wouldn't be surprised to see him make a statement. SOPHIA'S KISS (11) looks to have raised the bar since joining the new stable and can't be discounted first-up. MAURICE'S PRINCESS (6) is next best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Les Godt will be tough to run down.
3 12:51 PERFORMANCE BUSINESS SALES MAIDEN 1400m
Not much early speed of note and Rockstorm Sally and Western Miss may find themselves setting a steady tempo. WESTERN MISS (9) was solid on debut before jumping favourite over 1300m at Northam last start and missing in a photo finish. Pike now hops on board and the slight rise in trip again is right up her alley. Looks a nice filly on the way up and can land the knockout blow. ROCKSTORM SALLY (12) was strong fresh before a disappointing run last time out in what's turned out to be a good form race. A better draw this time helps and Galati replaces the apprentice hoop. Can bounce back in a big way. MERCURY RISING (3) has disappointed in his two runs back, but he showed glimpses last campaign to suggest he had some ability. Third-up now can see him close to his top and a return to his best form would see him in the finish. ADROIT (2) is third-up today and should be able to settle a touch closer from the barrier draw. The form out of his last start has been superb and drawing away from the fence can help. SUPAROO (4) is next best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Western Miss can get the job done this time.
4 01:30 BUNBURY EQUINE HOSPITAL MAIDEN 2013m
Strong tempo with Gokana and My Monster leading from Corso Venezia and Yankee Ace. LUCIFER'S LADY (11) finished off impressively from a long way back last start, beaten only 1.5L at Belmont. Out in trip now looks a good move for her and she maps to get every chance from a good draw. Can raise the bar again today and that will see her very hard to beat. YANKEE ACE (2) jumps right out to 2013m for the first time today but he does have a strong fitness base under him. His racing style suggests the longer journey should suit him today and Faithfull hopping on board is a good push for his chances. Can improve drastically. ANGELS POINT (4) jumps right out in trip today third-up into the campaign. He closed steadily last start at Belmont and this may be what he's looking for now. Still has some upside and can't be left out. GOKANA (8) is better than he showed last start and can improve. STAR ASSAULT (10) won't be far away.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Lucifer's Lady.
5 02:05 THOMPSON & REDWOOD HANDICAP 1685m
Expecting Big Kay Dog to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. OCEAN RANGER (9) flew home from the back of the pack first-up and looks set for a strong campaign. That was over the mile and the slight rise in trip plays into his hands. Tougher here, but he rates highly second-up and if he can improve again, he can go one better. BELLA VIOLETTA (8) was solid over 1700m at Belmont last time out when closing nicely as a 60-1 pop. The rating she ran there stacks right up in this field and this shapes similarly. Will handle the wet deck and she makes plenty of appeal. BOB THE BAKER (3) is a 2YO taking on the older horses, bolting in as a$21 chance last start at his first try over the mile. He sat handy there and put his rivals to the sword in a very impressive display. Wouldn't surprise to see him go on with the job. TAKE A LEAF (6) is better than she showed last start and can bounce back. BIG KAY DOG (1) can return to form following a disappointing performance last time out.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Ocean Ranger on top.
6 02:40 OFF THE TRACK WA HANDICAP 2013m
Just a moderate pace anticipated. SWEET SURRENDER (1) went from 1400m to 2000m at Belmont last start and was too good, winning by 0.3L when rounding up her rivals. She is a lightly raced mare and still has some room to grow. Cooper's claim comes in handy and with further improvement in store, she can repeat the dose. POINTLESS PRAISE (3) is ticking along nicely without winning, missing by 2.3L last time out but he finds a suitable race here. Should be able to lob in a handy position from gate 5 and he'll get every chance to put his best foot forward. SHAULA (2) is right in this on his recent efforts, finishing 1.3L off the winner at Belmont. He was behind sweet surrender there but he gets a weight swing in his favour and he can feature in the finish. SECRICITY (4) steps out in distance today and can get back to winning ways on the quick turnaround. GRANDAD'S ADICTION (9) can bounce back to form with the rise in trip.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sweet Surrender can go back-to-back.
7 03:20 WITTENS IRRIGATION & DESIGN HANDICAP 2013m
Solid tempo with Impressive Jewel, Desert Edge and Final Call the ones to roll forward. PECOS (10) is knocking on the door of another win, missing by 1.6L last start at Belmont when up front throughout. This shapes similarly and some sting out of the ground won't bother him. Should be prominent from the outset yet again and he'll be hard to reel in with no weight on his back. OPAL TANGO (9) won well three starts back and has held her form since. She was solid last start behind a big winner at Belmont and based on her recent form, she looks well suited in this event. PINCER MOVEMENT (6) won well fresh before a solid performance at Belmont over 1700m last time out. Straight up to 2013m now is a big tick and the blinkers going on should help, as it has done for many progeny of The Autumn Sun. Pike sticks and another forward showing is on the cards. ROYAL CREST (3) bounced back last start and is worth including on the back of that. MAXWHOOSHTAPIN (1) has performed well in stronger races and can make his presence felt.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Pecos goes on top.
8 03:55 BUNBURY VOLKSWAGEN SOUTH WEST CUP 2213m
Genuine tempo from Hoba West leading Antique Star. The feature of the day and OPPORTUNISTIC (5) gets the nod. He showed he was back in for two back before finishing well off a slow tempo at Belmont last start when backed off the map. Pike sticks with him today though and and getting out in trip is a big tick. He can return to winning ways. HOBA WEST (7) faded a touch third-up at Belmont, but he has been known to do that through his career. Can bounce back today and he'll be able to dictate from the front again. Sure to give a bold sight. DIAMOND SCENE (3) is improving nicely into the campaign and now Fiore hops on board. Can follow the speed across to land in a handy position and he can't be discounted on the back of a strong last start effort. GINGER BAKER (4) won this race last year and looks to get similar conditions today. Parnham hops back aboard having won 8 times aboard. Keep him on side. IN GOOD ORDER (1) can't be discounted getting out in trip again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Opportunistic goes on top in the feature.
9 04:30 HORSELAND BUNBURY HANDICAP 1200m
Expecting Looks to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. GINGERQUEST (11) is better than he showed last start and should appreciate coming back to a race of this level. He'll carry no weight after the claim of Riordan and he looks to get plenty of favours on the map. Ticks a few boxes and can get the job done with a few gear changes as well. MASAMUNE (2) went back to 1000m last start and just found them a little sharp, though his form prior was much better. Back to 1200m is a big tick and he is a course and distance winner in the past. Should handle the sting out of the ground and he can put his best foot forward. EN PLEIN AIR (8) looks set for a strong return judging by her latest trial. A soggy track should help and if she gets some luck from the barrier, she can go close. JELLY CAN RUN (5) will love a wet deck and looks well placed. MY HIDDEN UNIVERSE (1) gets the 4kg claimer on today, but he's shown he's a better horse than this grade. Best form will see him hard to hold out.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Gingerquest goes on top in the last.
