WARRACKNABEAL   12 July 2025
NUM TIME COMMENT
1 11:41 Pacific Fuel Solutions Maiden Plate 1200m
Cracking tempo with Murmullo and French Navy leading the way. KILMER (7) has won a jumpout since a plainer effort at Swan Hill when heavily bet. The Ballarat effort prior reads well and he finds the right race. MURMULLO (11) won a jumpout and resumed in solid order. She's bred to appreciate a wet track and has been kept on the fresh side. Rate strongly at best. FRENCH NAVY (5) just missed on debut and has looked good leading up to today's return. Draws low with Linda aboard and a bold run is likely. BRISEIS ECLIPSE (12) progressive three-year-old filly who filled a minor placing for the first time last start when third 1000m at Warracknabeal. Has Meech in the sadlle and a bold run is likely.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Kilmer.
2 12:16 Russ Studio Jewellers Maiden Plate 1200m
Buzzaroon and Fox Charm are both expected to press forward and take it up. FROSTY NIGHT (6) peaks and assess her on the nose defeat two back on a heavy track. She's likely to position forward and this is a winnable assignment. MALLEE GOLD (3) just missed on a slow track on debut when expected to need it. Draws to advantage and she won't have to improve much to threaten again. FOX CHARM (5) resumes off a long break for the premier stable and has jumped out twice. She's shown enough and Linda rides from a handy gate. The betting will be key. HERE COMES WOZZA (13) resumed in good touch and has more up the sleeve. The 4kg claim brings him right into it. DIBALTA (1) resumes and will be naturally improved. Will race over further but he placed his only go this trip.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Frosty Night.
3 12:51 Donald Steel Metaland Maiden Plate 1200m
Without a recognised leader a modest gallop is on the cards. MYTHIC (2) was plain at Echuca but was building nicely into that. The 2kg claim brings him right into it but he settles back and the inside barrier needs managing. KUNAWAR (6) resumes and has jumped out well. She's switched yards and maps well. The betting will be key but expected to run a bold race. STELLAR MADAME (12) resumed at Ballarat over 1200m last time out and finished seventh. Can only be better for the run and can give this a shake. LADY OF STEEL (7) has failed to fill a placing at her last few runs, the latest a fourth over 1400m at Ballarat Synthetic. Usually thereabouts and can contest for aplce here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Mythic.
4 01:26 Donald Motor Lodge Maiden Plate 2000m
Theres nothing to run them along. SLOMO (4) is a former Kiwi who off a long break at Warracknabeal over 2000m and will be better for it. He enjoys heavy conditions and Hurdle is a positive jockey engagement. He's a winning chance if the market moves his way. OCEAN SYMPHONY (3) is an improver from the premier stable. Linda sticks aboard and he should be right in it. Stablemate FIORA (7) is also fourth-up and is likely to be sharper with the blinkers applied for the first time. Expect her to be running into it. PREFERRED ASSASSIN (8) is honest and maps well. She won't be far away. BISMARCK (1) just missed at Sale three back and that would win this. He's had two jumpouts since his last start 34 days ago and keep him onside.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Slomo if the betting suggests stable confidence.
5 02:01 Goldacres Maiden Plate 2000m
Smokin' Rohie to take the lead and control the tempo. RANSELOT (9) will be fitter again and is ready to deliver for the premier stable. Has a soft gate and Linda rides and knows her way around here. She stepped up to this trip last time on the synthetic. BRYDAN (5) got too far back last time but was only beaten 2L at Werribee prior and that's good form. Tackles a longer journey this time. Can feature. The blinkers come off OBSTRUCTIONIST (1) following a plainer run at Ballarat over a staying distance. This suits better and his best would see him in the finish. Ranselot's stablemate QUICK QUDOS (2) maps well and is likely to show more third-up while SMOKIN' ROHIE (3) can contest for a place.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Ranselot.
6 02:36 bet365 0 - 58 Handicap 2000m
Loyal Consul is the likely leader and should be able to get there comfortably. Tough. SHREWSBURY ROAD (7) has been threatening and there was only 2L in it at Bendigo last time stepping up to this distance. He's been freshened and he should go close with average luck in the run. LOYAL CONSUL (1) peaks and assess his chances on the nose defeat two back on the Casterton heavy. He found the grade and staying trip a stretch at Ballarat last time. PALENTINO HEIGHTS (8) is knocking on the door and raced a $2.60 favourite at Echuca last time. He can sit closer today and is a chance. FOREVER WELL (9) was a big Maiden winner at Werribee over this trip and has jumped out twice since. Has plenty of scope for improvement and can't be ruled out.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Shrewsbury Road.
7 03:16 Buloke Plumbing 0 - 58 Handicap 1000m
Cracking tempo with Fox Man and Struggle Street leading the way. FOX MAN (1) just missed and then led again and blitzed the Warracknabeal Maidens by 4L on the slow track. Doubt this is much harder and he can go on with the job. EL SALTO (2) has been threatening to win on the synthetic and coming back to turf shouldn't be an issue. Maps well and the 3kg claim brings him right into it. SHADOW BLACK (6) resumed here with a 2.4L defeat further improved. She won't have to improve much to fight out the finish. STRUGGLE STREET (3) resumes and is proven fresh. She's won a jumpout and trial and Linda is booked. No surprise if she comes back better. THE LAST JUDGEMENT (8) would be right in it if he could regather his 1L defeat at Echuca three starts back.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Fox Man.
8 03:56 Weirs IGA Donald 0 - 58 Handicap 1200m
Solid tempo headed by Gusty Way and Royal Inference. GUSTY WAY (2) was quickly back on track beaten 1L at Casterton. He's a consistent galloper well placed to go one better. SHE FLYS (11) resumes after switching from the Hayes yard with Hurdle booked and would be a chance if presented forward. She has placed fresh and has two jumpouts under the saddle and the tongue tie on for the first time. SURFY PETE (5) was back to his best beaten a nose at Warracknabeal. Surprised but would be in the finish holding that form. BUDJIK BOY (6) will be sharper second up and has plenty in the tank. May need longer now but has to be kept safe. ROYAL INFERENCE (4) led and won his Maiden first up over this trip and showed enough to consider.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Gusty Way.
9 04:31 Megelec Electrical Contractors 0 - 58 Handicap 1600m
Quizlet, Dashing Rebel and Cortain to take up the running at a strong tempo. TRACK PATCHER (7) is in a top metro yard and is third-up and ready to win. He's won a jumpout since the Seymour outing and has the blinkers on for the first time. Maps well and has plenty up his sleeve. BRUZANI (1) turned in a fine effort to score by a head at today's course and distance last start in a nice progression on the first-up run. Key runner. JANDAMI (5) lightly raced four-year-old gelding who recorded an impressive win first up last start over 1411m at Mt Gambier, scoring with something in reserve. Include. CORTAIN (2) scored over 1600m at Terang two back then missed the frame last time out over 1500m at Bendigo. Worth forgiving that last run and can feature here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Track Patcher.
