Apiam Animal Health 2YO Maiden Plate 1000m
Ring My Bell will stride forward but there are few first starters who can keep her busy. Big fields and heavy going during the week so these races may change complexity. SATIN DIVA (13) was sent around at $1.30 on debut at Moe and whilst edged out, she stuck on gamely with a good gap back to third. With natural improvement she can go one better. WISHFUL THINKER (9) is a gelding by Anders on debut for the Waterhouse & Bott yard who has jumped out well. Expect him to be positive and take running down. NORDIC STRIKE (4) is a colt by Anders on debut for the Maher yard. He's been jumping out well and draws to effect here. Should go well. MARINER MISS (11) ran well in a strongly run race on debut at Bendigo on wet ground when in the market, working home into third. Handles conditions and looks a solid chance at odds. CANNYWORTH (18) resumes for his second campaign off sound jumpout form. He showed a bit in two runs last time in and could be an improver. SUGGESTED PLAY: Satin Diva to win. |

bet365 Never Ordinary Maiden Plate 1100m
Delicate Lady, Ilovediamonds and Show No Doubt to match motors but there will be other pressure. DELICATE LADY (8) resumes having placed in both runs in her maiden campaign in good races. The debut effort at Yarra Valley saw her sent out as $2.50 favourite in a Future Stars Series heat at Pakenham, only beaten 2.5 lengths by subsequent Listed winner Gala Queen. Should set up nicely here and looks hard to catch. SHUJINKO (3) resumes. He ran a good race on debut at Warrnambool over 1200m when just finding one better. With natural improvement and a nice gate here he can measure up well. ABOVE ME (6) is an expensive filly by Zoustar on debut for the Price & Kent Jnr yard. Represents strong connections and has jumped out well enough. INSAIN HARRY (2) has had a few chances but continues to race well, placing in his past four. Should be competitive again. NEW CHARACTER (13) was well supported on debut at Ballarat Synthetic but struggled. Could be a quick improver. SUGGESTED PLAY: Delicate Lady to win. |

Avis Bendigo Maiden Plate 1400m
Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by She Rex. FLOWERDALE (9) gets the nod. Both runs to date have been good, well supported into $2.50 last start at Sale on wet ground, finding the line well for second behind a smart one. Showed improvement there and can make another step in the right direction here. STAR ANGEL (13) comes back slightly in trip third up having disappointed at Geelong when sent around $1.80 last start. The fresh effort was excellent, she can bounce back in a big way here. RASP (4) has been rock solid in two runs back from a spell and should be at peak fitness now. Like him getting to 1400m and can have last crack at them. SHE REX (11) comes down from NSW having disappointed when in the market at Goulburn last time. Her prior form and starting prices in good maidens is worth noting. Can win. CALIFORNIA FLYER (5) was just fair fresh but should find this easier and can improve. SUGGESTED PLAY: Flowerdale on top. |

Bendigo Mazda BM58 Handicap 1000m
Warui is expected to burn across and lead from the wide draw. MR ASSERTIVE (3) resumes. He was racing in consistent form last time in work, placing in a slightly deeper BM58 at Geelong before a spell. He was poor first up last time in work but that was a much stronger race behind subsequent G1 winner Reserve Bank. He's won a couple of jumpouts leading in and can make his presence felt. DO IT NOW (10) is racing well, beaten a nose two back at Seymour before another sound effort at Moe. Draws for a soft run here and should be right there. SHYLEAH (12) had an issue when dropping out at Ballarat last time out but had been going well prior, starting $2 in this grade at Seymour two back when just missing. Can bounce back. NEVER A THOUGHT (1) is coming off a narrow maiden win at Moe at just his second start. Maps to land on speed again here and can measure up. WALTER SPUR (2) likes wet ground and can bounce back off a poor run last time. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mr Assertive on top. |

Bendigo Magazine 3YO BM64 Handicap 1100m
A strong gallop is likely with Over The Stars and Fragrant Cloud taking up the running, closely attended by Molly The Magician and Mr Markle. NIMBUSTWOTHOUSAND (5) sets up well here. His recent form is strong having finished a narrow sixth in a three-year-old handicap at Sandown Hillside last time out. The run prior was also good in a better BM64 and he rates a good chance. ALERO (1) was poor last time at Echuca as favourite but had been going well prior and did beat home the danger at Pakenham two back. Not sure he wants it too heavy but he has the ability. TRANSACTIONS (6) is racing consistently, working home okay over 1000m at Mornington on similar ground last time out. Better suited back up to 1100m now and can break through. FRAGRANT CLOUD (10) resumes for her second campaign having shown ability last time in. She won well on debut at Goulburn and may have improved again. WARPARTY (3) is a winner on heavy and rates an each way hope. SUGGESTED PLAY: Nimbustwothousand on top. |

Workforce Extenions F&M BM64 Handicap 1100m
Strong tempo, primarily from Furosshi and Tapo. JENNYANYDOTS (2) on top. Her return at Sandown Hillside was very good in a stronger race, finding the line strongly off a slow speed to miss by a nose. The winner there is smart and this looks a fair bit easier. The query is where she gets to from the wide draw but on ability she should be too strong. SIOUX SPIRIT (3) could be the danger at odd. She flopped on the synthetic last time but had been racing well prior on turf and should land in a decent spot from the draw. Can bounce back. ICHIBERU (7) is racing in fine form, backing up a hot start to the campaign with two minor placings at her past couple. Should be thereabouts again. FUROSSHI (5) resumes. She typically goes well fresh and did race against some good company last time in. DAMEHOOD (6) is lightly raced off a solid return at Cranbourne. Tricky draw but will be strong late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Jennyanydots to win. |

Pace genuine with Friday At Five and Misty Emotions pressing hard closely followed by Rip 'N' Rip and Saxon Spot. BOTANICAL BOY (7) can improve here at his third career start. He was a narrow winner on debut at Pakenham but did in stylishly from the back before an even effort at Geelong. Finds a suitable race from a nice draw and can improve again. BELTHIL (1) resumes off two solid trials. His form tapered off at the end of last campaign but his best form reads very well in higher grades than this. This looks a nice race for him to kick off in. MISTY EMOTIONS (14) is going well, just finding one better at her past couple of starts. Up slightly in grade here but does drop in weight and maps ideally. ALWAYS HAPI (3) is the one that will relish a heavy track. He ran well for a narrow third at Ballarat last time out in a stronger race. Should be thereabouts again. SAXON SPOT (9) resumes. He was a handy Geelong maiden winner at his only run last time in and has to be respected. SUGGESTED PLAY: Botanical Bay on top. |

Turners Crossing BM64 Handicap 1300m
Expecting Cocobill to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. DEADLY PRESS (2) on top in an open race. He was solid last time at Sandown Hillside in a stronger race when beaten a tick over four lengths but had been in strong form prior in this grade and handles heavy ground. Rates a strong hope. SEA POEM (12) was just fair fresh at Swan Hill but is lightly raced and did show ability in two runs in her maiden campaign and could be a quick improver with added fitness and experience. CAPITAL ASSET (3) is racing consistently. He was okay in fifth on a wet track here last time but had been knocking on the door prior and back to 1300m should really suit this son of Capitalist. SECOND FIX (9) was good on a heavy track at Mornington two back behind La Fracas, who has won impressively again since. The run last time was okay without the best of luck but his best form reads well. FIRE TRIBE (11) is off a let up but going well and has claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Deadly Press on top. |

Bendigo Ford BM64 Handicap 1600m
Expecting Altruist to take up the running with Eau De Cologne and Eskimo close at hand. ALTRUIST (3) on top in another open affair. He's racing in fine form, following up a win three back with two minor placings, good to the line on a heavy track here over 1500m last time out. Only needs to hold that form to be fighting out the finish again. BELLONADO (10) should be ready to peak third up, not far away in either run this time in. A wet track should pose no issue for him and he now draws much better. JUSTABOOM (13) is a consistent sort who hasn't been far away of late. The run two back at Sandown Lakeside reads well and she must be respected for the top yard. TOURNELLE (11) is a lightly raced former import who should be much better suited stepping up in trip now. Can improve quickly. BELLE INFERNO (12) comes back to turf here which can suit and the win two back reads well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Altruist each-way. |

Smartloans Bendigo BM64 Handicap 1600m
Expecting a modest tempo established by Lord Domino who can cross from the outside draw. KIRA (14) gets her chance. Two runs back from a spell have been rock solid, just finding one better on both occasions. She was beaten under a length here second up and should appreciate the rise to 1600m now. Handles wet ground and if they're positive from a wide gate she'll go close. YAM (1) is hard to knock in recent form having won his past three in a row. He proved far too good here last time out on heavy ground which seems to be the key to his form. Up in weight again but should go close once more. QUELLO DORATO (8) is a lightly raced type for the O'Brien yard who won his maiden impressively on wet ground at Sale last start. Has plenty of upside and the 1600m shouldn't pose an issue. OUR LONE STAR (7) was much better last start here and a repeat of that effort has him in the finish. SPEAK (5) resumes and has the ability to run well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kira to win. |
